Thanks for the feedback Nemesis13. I will be using an Antec full tower, spacing the hard drives apart as much as possible and have two case fans (one in front, one in back) to start off with. I would prefer to stay with two case fans to keep noise at a minimum but will add more if needed.

why not c2d? :)

do you really need an x-fi with all those issues with drivers out there? personally, i would go with something else (auzentech, etc).

there is some g.skill sticks that have better timings (if you wanted) and overclock well...

how about a 150GB raptor (or 2 in raid) for main work drive, and a 320/400/500/750/1TB for your storage (or two of them)? that would be a blazing fast system.

Actually I did not do any research into the X-Fi because I have one in my other system (platinum version) and I have not had any issues with it. I will check into that, thanks for the heads up.

Have a link to the G.Skill? I had actually selected some G.Skill with slightly better timings but saw where a couple people had issues with Asus boards with them.

I considered the Raptors but it added more to the price than I want to spend though it is tempting. U se a 2TB NAS for all by online backup storage so I do not need Tons of internal

Thanks for the info secretanchitman!
