Would appreciate feedback on my newegg build before I finalize

Your RAM doesn't overclock itself, though it does have XMP profiles which the bios can read and use. You have to try the 1600mhz frequency yourself to see whether or not it is stable, and play with the voltage and timings if it is not. Even RAM rated at 1333mhz has a decent chance of being able to run at 1600mhz (good chance if it is cas7@1333mhz). Now if you tried to get your ram from 1333->1600 by overclocking the bus, you would definitely have problems on SB lol. Might not even get far enough in booting to get BSOD.

The memory bus is asynchronous from the base clock on Sandy Bridge, so that wouldn't be an issue. Of course, that also means that overclocking the memory doesn't do too much for your performance.

Well guys the only reason I asked is because it is kinda over my head. I was an overclocker in the 90's when it was just jumpers and dip switches but now overclocking in the bios has a bit more depth to it. But that being said I probably wont overclock soon anyways because this thing is soo damn fast to me stock that I am already overly happy. Not to mention the chip makers are starting to incorporate dynamic overclocking which is a surprise to me.

I have seen other peoples signatures with similar hardware and I cant believe how high people are pushing these sandy bridge chips.

I have learned so much in the last month playing catch up in these forums and thank you for all of your help.

Yeah Turbo Boost is really nice! It makes me really not care too much about overclocking (I never did the high-voltage, high-heat stuff anyway). I'm glad that we could help you out. :)
