Would an Motherboard(A8N-SLi Premium) still POST/Boot if the CPU fan doesn't have an RPM sensor?

I currently have a Delta Fan on my XP-90, and it keeps temps really low for an OCed 3700 San Diego, 43C max temp. I'm wondering if the 68.8 CFM Panaflo cools almost as good? I'm sure it'll run quiter, and I wouldn't mind having it quieter if it could keep my CPU just as cool or almost as cool as it is now.

Problem is, that particular model doesn't support RPM monitoring. So would a motherboard still post/boot if the fan is connected to the motherboard header but with no RPM sensor? Does that make sense, I hope so.

Any help on this guys is greatly appreciated

Yes it would still boot - just turn off the RPM alarm and set it to a temperature alarm (I'm sure this is set by default).

Pentium Guy is correct. Also, instead of buying a new fan, you can always get a fan controller.

I thought about getting a fan controller, but there's enough wires in the box as it is, sort of a lame excuse huh..haha.

I tried getting speedfan to work, but I can't figure it out
