would a Zalman CNPS7000A fit?

I have the Kingwin KT-436 case. Does anyone know if the Zalman CNPS7000A will fit there? I have an Abit AT7-MAX2 motherboard; on the Zalman site, it says it will fit on the motherboard, if I cut the clip off, but I have a feeling that the fins would run into the power supply. I grabbed a CD and Placed it over the CPU socket and it seems that the Zalman CNPS7000A would be touching, if it even fits, the power supply.

Anyone know if this should or should not be a concern for me?

There's something on the Zalman site that tells you how much clearance you need from the center of the CPU socket to the PSU for this HSF to fit. I think it's 55mm. Check out the site to be sure.

Thanks for the reply.

I have already visited Zalman's CNPS7000A info page And I noticed that it says:

Compatibility requires that no physical interference by the power supply occurs within the 55mm radius of the CPU socket's center.

But I grabbed my 12 inch ruler and it only has 30 mm, so I realized that 55 cm must be approximately 22 inches. I doubt that any case in the UNIVERSE gives you twenty two inches of space from the CPU to the PSU.

I was hoping for a little bit more than a "look at their site" type of reply. I thought it would be obvious that I've visited their page, since I mentioned that my mother board, accoding to the zalman site, requires that the clip be cut off.

Thanks

The 12 inch ruler has 30.48 cm. The Zalman site states 55 mm, which is a little more than 2.16 inches.

My ruler says 30 MM unless I'm looking at it upside down, then it would be WW, but either way there is no CM in it... Maybe it's a typo on my ruler...

See, my ruler (made in the USA) says that 12" is approximately 30 mm. And I believed it!

At any rate, I meant to say, thank you, this helps clarify a bit, and I guess the heatsink should fit just fine.

Thanks again!

1mm = .0393" so 10mm = .393", 100mm = 3.93" , etc.

55mm = 2.1615"

On your inch ruler that would be almost exactly 2 5/32".

I was wondering if this HSF would fit in a NF7-S rev. 2.0.
I read the compatibility chart, but I guess it was for the NF7-S rev. 1.0 and 1.1 that didnt have the mounting holes.
Anyone has this HSF with the Abit NF7-S?

Thnx in advance!

I made that exact same mistake, I ordered the NF7-S Rev 2.0 & Zalman CNPS7000ACu from newegg and realized my mistake the next day after placing my order. Newegg is too damn quick with shipping that it was already on its way by the time I realized my mistake.
