Question Would a USB wifi card run faster on usb 3.0 than 2.0 (40mbps internet.)

Just purchased a new usb 3.0 wifi adapter but pc only has 2.0; do you think adding a 3.0 usb card would improve performance with a 40mbps connection?

It might a tiny bit, but mostly it's going to be the wifi link itself that's the bottleneck or the 40Mb if that's your ISP speed tier.

Even so, if this PC is going to be used much then I'd get the USB3 card for external storage, offline backup purposes if nothing else.
