Would a Ti4200 128MB enough for future games?

I have a P4 1,6a @ 2,0 (125 FSB), 256 MB PC2100, Abit BD7, etc..
I'm planning to upgrade my RAM + HD in the near future. And I was tempted by Geforce4 Ti4200 128MB to replace my old GF2 GTS 32MB.
Would it be sufficient to play future games ? (UT2003, Doom3, etc) I'm not talking 4xAA with Aniso on high res. I think 1024x768 max detail is good enough for me.
So what do you guys think?

Yes, because I just bought one ;)

Seriously...with my game-rig-setup (see sig) I can easily play UT2003 @ 1280x1024 details maxed. And this is for the leaked pre-build...

I still have to get the demo but I expect more performance, as the pre-build is like 3-4 months old...

Conclusion: You should be fine with a 4200 from a price/performance standpoint...but make sure to get the 128MB to be prepared for doom3. It uses a min. of 70MB textures at once, so 64MB will result in a serious performance hit :)

Ah, btw: Don't even think about the AOpen Aeolus Ti4200 if you plan to overclock...according to my experience (and some others here in the forums) it is a bad ram-overclocker...go for Gainward or MSI

Abit tends to do fine, to. I have the plain Abit Siluro 4200, and it goes to 300/615 with stock cooling :) Only problem is it's the 64mb model, but it should keep me happy for a year or so.

You're right on track. 4xx AA and resolutions over 1024x768 are the killers in most games. The Ti4200 should handle Doom 3 and others pretty well at 2xx AA and 1024x768.

One thing to keep in mind, MOST of the current ti4200 128MB cards have 4ns memory. Asus has introduced one with 3.3ns memory, but it's more expensive than ti4400 cards.

Check out this ti4400 card from MSI. It uses 3.3ns Samsung BGA (ball grid array) memory. You can pick this up for $186.00 at newegg.com:
