would a PentiumD 840 (3.2Ghz dual core) run much hotter than a Celeron D 346 (3.06Ghz)

I've got a PC that is currently running a celeron D346 3.06Ghz CPU. If my motherboard allows the upgrade to a dual core Pentium D 3.2Ghz (need to check this), would I be able to use the HSF from the celeron?

Depending on the HSF, you might be able to. I in no way recommend the stock Intel S775 heatsink for use on any Presshot dualcores.
