Would a member of PETA turn down life-preserving medication that was developed through animal testing?

No Lifer
Apparently PETA is opposed to the animal testing involved to develop AIDS medication and research. So do you think if a member of PETA would turn down life-preserving medication that was developed through animal testing?

PETA's vice president uses Insulin made from cows, so I guess not...even though they are against it.

Edit: That's right, dogs, not cows.

A member might, but their leaders are hypocritical crazies yearning for a pet-taliban to rule America and enforce their views.

I am actually waiting for someone to make a T-Shirt that says

"FOR ANIMAL TESTING"

to counter these yahoos.

its like the antistem cell people. somehow i doubt if a family member were dying they would refuse treatment that came from what they hate so much.

If they are true to their cause, yes.

She does have a point.
If the animals have already suffered, why not make it so they did not suffer in vain? She can still want to stop future suffering by campaigning against animal testing.
Just because everyone in this thread seems to be hugely anti-PETA and obsessed with criticising them at every opportunity does not mean you are forced to lose all objectivity and sense of logic at the same time.

Maybe it's a little hypocritical, maybe it's not.

If the action is not so bad that it's morally acceptable to accept a product developed from it, then it is morally okay to continue using that method.

Jehovah's Witnesses have been doing similar things recently...and most religions the same since day one.

PETA is not a religion, but if you believe you should.
