Would a Hyper 212 fit in my build?

hi; since temperatures have gone up thanks to summer the idle and load temps of my CPU have gone up to where i'm really concerned. (HWMonitor showing idle temps of 50~ ish C up to loads of 70-75C!!!)

i have the following:

Intel Core i5-760 (Stock heatsink and speeds)
ASUS P7P55D-E LGA 1156 SATA 6gb/s USB 3.0
G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600 (PC3 12800)
Antec 300 Case

would a Coolermaster Hyper 212 fit? I was looking at that heatsink as a possible aftermarket cooling solution and would appreciate some input.

I haven't installed an aftermarket heatsink before since i'm still new at this but I understand i'll have to take the insides apart; not a problem if it means dropping the CPU temps significantly.

Thank you.

I have a cooler master Hyper 101 that keeps my overclocked 2500k at 4.3ghzs around 76 cel using intel burn which is pretty much the highest i could ever see those core temps go.

If running stock i hear the 101 isn't bad period and sure does beat the stock cooler.

Also cheaper then the 212 and def will fit while using the push pin design so simple to install

Can't speak for 212 as i considered that cooler myself actually i hear it blocks memory slots but hoped i helped.

Take a look at Cooler Master's website: they're usually good about putting dimensions up with drawings. Then, you can do some rough measuring with your own system if you're unsure.

If you want a tower sink that doesn't require removing the board, take a look at the Hyper TX3:

The stock fan on it is a little noisy at high speeds. You can replace it with something quieter and/or set up a push-pull system, since they also provide the extra fan brackets.
