If science is able to clone humans, and humans have souls, then does it mean that science has found the means to create souls???

Doesn't matter what a soul is or if you believe in it - whatever it is, if you have it, your clone has it. Clones are just normal animals that happen to have the same genes as an existing animal.

What is "god"??

Assuming the existence of souls, and defining "soul" as the unique consciousness of the individual, then I would yes, a clone would have a soul.

Exactly. Cloning is essentially just asexual reproduction.

Twins have souls, dont they?

"Science" has known the means to create "souls" for a long time now. It's called sex.

Identical twins are clones. Thus, do both identical twins have souls? That question will help you answer your question.

Yep, if you think identical twins each have souls, than clones do as well.

Depending on the definition of "soul," normal animals may not have a soul, and a simple reproduction of genetic material may not either. The definition does matter.

kmr1212-if you don't think clones have souls then do you think its ok for humans to murder clones with out going to hell. Do you think its OK for us to make clones for spare body parts?
Sounds like you might think its OK.

Sounds like you might think its OK.

After this post, I'm fairly sure you're lacking a soul.

Possibly, or it could be that I just watched "The Island"

Yeah, I'd think it does. God gives humans souls, and I don't see how the birth of a clone fetus would be any different than that of one that wasn't fiddled with as an embryo.

As I thought. No, it is not OK to make fully functional human beings for spare body parts.

Bodies with just the rudimentary brain stems to keep the body in homeostasis on the other hand...I don't see why not. The movie sidestepped that question by saying that the humans "didn't develop properly". But thats BS. Even though the technology for something like that is FAR, FAR, FAR away, as long as you can maintain homeostasis, you could grow and keep alive the "shell" of a human for quite a long time.
