Would a 14x USB2.0 flash memory stick RAID yield read/write performance beyond the 480Mbit limit for uber l33tness?

Do all devices on the usb motherboard controller share 1x 480Mbit bandwidth that they must all share? If not would a raid of usb memory sticks potentially yield massive results?

I have 14x usb ports combining all the ports on my tower and computer monitor. Perhap if I got 30-40 usb sticks could I get read/write speeds that surpass 15k rpm cheetahs?

I remember the guys who did the 7x fdd array did a usb 1.1 raid with 4 or 5 sticks and got a substancial (iirc ~50% faster performance increase). BUT THEY WERE ALL CONNECTED TO THE SAME USB HUB!

this post is 50% just for humour and 50% to answer and interesting question....

Thanks guys
