I just upgraded the other bits in my computer so now it's:
i7 2600K
MSI P67 Sandy Britches motherboard
8gb... appropriately fast memory?
OCZ 60gb SSD (which is garbage...)
Hewlett Packard 2tb hard drive
PNY GTX 295 xlr8
KitchenAid 28" 1920x1200 monitor
My Borderlands performance smoothed out a lot coming from the e4400. Once I get tired of borderlands (on my 2nd playthrough with my second character...) Next I'd like to play Oblivion, and then either the fallout series or the grand theft auto series. I don't want either of them tainted by the performance issues that plagued me during Borderlands.
I like the looks of EVGA's Superclocked GTX 580, but I'm wondering if it'll make much (~$600) difference. Or if I should just wait.
Also when are bigger 3d monitors coming? I want a 3d monitor but I can't go back to 23" for it.
