Hello, now that benchmarks for the new ryzen´s are out, do you think its worth upgrade to ryzen 5800X from 3600 for gaming on my LG 3840x1600 160hz monitor ? GPU is RTX 3080. From benchmarks there is almost no difference in 4k gaming. My resolution 3840x1600 should be approximatly 25% less demanding than 4k. Thanks for your help

Instead of Intel to AMD, it's now AMD to AMD?

Why do you buy so many CPUs, and then want to constantly upgrade or downgrade them all?

Edited: I remembered you do not respond once threads are posted.

You've obviously read the reviews on the new Ryzen CPUs, so the charts are pretty clear on what kind of performance upgrade you can expect:

On a 160 Hz monitor it should make some difference for a lot of games.
That doesn't necessarily mean that upgrading makes sense. If you only play at around 100 because you prefer higher graphics settings over higher refresh rates the 3600 should be more than sufficient for the vast majority of games.

I did exactly that. I find that my FPS no longer fluctuates like crazy, and it appears smoother. Is it worth it? Additionally since I have Outlook, web browsers, a VM or two running, it’s much more responsive from that standpoint.
