Worth the extra $40 for a Wireless-G game adapter instead of a Wireless-B?

Then yes go for G because ounce you mod it you WILL need it. BTW want any more of those 2 month trials. I got a fvck load of them. I will sell cheap.

Sell? Why don't you give them away like everyone else in the free world? For the love of god, if anyone considers actually buying a FREE trial from this guy, especially when he already has a "fvck load" of them, I will hunt you down a free code.

are the stackable?
No, 2-month trials aren't stackable if you want the same gamertag. At the end of your 2 months, you either renew and pay up, or you cancel. When you cancel, your gamertag goes away, and can never be used again. As for signing up with another trial under the same name and credit card however, I don't know.

save money and move the router next to the xbox and get wireless for your comp

I have a wireless pci card for my computer, which was something i was considering...

My biggest concern is this...

1. My tv is using a High Def DVR box, and im not sure what splitting the signal for the cable modem and HD DVR will do the quality on both.
2. We also have vonage, and im not sure where i would place the expandable base station if i moved the vonage adapter as well.

you are the biggest dlck on the boards. you would sell free passes? get the hell out of here, especially since you have 'a fvck load of them' yet you want to profit from them. pffft, that is just ridiculous, diaf.

anyways i have like 3 more free trials if you want, but like someone else stated they are not stackable and you need to re-enter all your info again, not to mention create a new account.

and btw, you can go on xbox live just fine with a modded xbox, as long as you aren't a moron and the mod is turned off.

Get a WRT54G/S, flash it with the Sveasoft firmware and use it in client mode. It's cheaper than a wireless game adapter and has more uses later down the road.

Thats actually what i was posting about over in Networking....

1. Will it work as a client on my Microsoft Wireless-G Router?
2. Will it still work after i mod the xbox?

fyi.

hmm, what started out as a rumor has been confirmed by a lot of gaming sites that msft is banning accounts with people who have non-stock hard drives. so even if your mod chip is off, people have been still getting banned.

get the G adaptor if you're going to mod.

like i said, only people who are morons with mod chips get banned from xbox live. i have been on there since september w/a modchip in my xbox and since i know what im actually doing, i haven't had a problem.

I read on xboxscene that changing hardware might get you booted too. If you sign up with a stock HD but then switch out with a larger one, that might get you banned regardless of your chip being on or off. This was a week or two ago so I'm not sure if that is 100% correct, but it was a theory at the time.

i would like to know more info about this too. i already have one of those as my router that my PC and xbox are hooked up to. so if i get another one, and hook it to my xbox w/the cross over cable, then i can link the two of them together through wireless? and this signal will hold up just fine? i don't want to get disconnects from the network while playing halo 2 🙂

I'd buy the best thing on the market at the moment... regardless of how much... then I dont have to later... 🙂

I will mod after my 2 month live trial runs up.

NO! Bad move!

You absolutely have to mod it before you sign onto live for the first time. Whenever you sign onto Xbox Live, it permanently attaches your hard drive with the motherboard -- if the hard drive is different than the one that you first signed onto live with, you're banned. If you never plan on going on live again once the trial is up, fine, but I'd give yourself the chance.
