Don't worry about overheating. I expect your EVO is plenty enough for 4.4-4.6 on a quad, but you can always test and find out.

I ran my 3570K with the overclock in my signature for a little while while I was waiting on a replacement pump, and it was fine.

You're joking, right? Why would anyone sell an incredible UNLOCKED Intel CPU and downgrade and then lose money while doing so?
