Worth it to upgrade from an i7-4820k to a faster quad core?

Don't worry about overheating. I expect your EVO is plenty enough for 4.4-4.6 on a quad, but you can always test and find out.

I ran my 3570K with the overclock in my signature for a little while while I was waiting on a replacement pump, and it was fine.

chip is near 4820 price....... sell it and do this if you have bit of money. gl
