Worth it to go from 19" to a good 21" monitor?

Thinking seriously of this. Right now I'm using a 6yr old 19" Princeton EO90- nothing wrong with PQ, just can't really go above 1152*864/100Hz before getting blurry.

I'd really like to go for a 24" 16:9 monitor, but I can't afford it, so I'm looking at the Mitsubishi Diamond Pro DP2070SB-BK which is available at Dell every so often for <$400.

The short answer to your question is - yes.

The longer answer is - That monitor you've picked is a nice unit but they are not without their problems. I had the NEC mate to that unit 3 different times (3 identical monitors) and I could not get one I could live with. Each one I received had flaws that were not right. I eventually went Sony and I am happy now.

Which Sony you go with? There's a slighty more expensive one at Dell, which has similar specs, I think the refresh rate is like 170 Hz x 130 kHz compared to the Mitsubishi's 160 Hz x 140 kHz.

It's all a crap shoot with CRT's. I've sent back both a NEC and a Sony(it goes back tomorrow) for geometry and poor text problems. The key is buy from a place with hassle free returns so you can go through as many as it takes to find a good unit.
