worth it to get 9600 pro over 5600 ultra?

well i was able to acquire a 5600 ultra 128mb for $105 (the 400/800 version) . anyways, i am thinking of selling it and using that money to get a radeon 9600 pro since i figure i could get more than $105 , possibly $125 which is probably close to a 9600 pro's price. but i want to know if its worth the hassle first.

anyways... i was wondering what the speed difference is. anands benchmakrs show a lot of times a 5600ultra beats a 9600 pro. but if say one of you guys was buyinga new card what would you rather have.

Hans bud, I bought the 9600 Pro, benched it side by side with my 5600 ultra PNY.
It got smacked in nature game 4 by the Pro, halo looks very nice on it.
My only beef is the ATI drivers and Call of Duty.
Decisions yours but I feel very happy with my 9600 pro.
😉

since it's the 5600 ultra, i'd just keep it now that nvid released them 52.16 drivers. the performance difference between it and the 9600p aint as big as before. save yourself the hassle and just stick with it until the next best deal comes along.

keep the 5600 its NOT much of an upgrade if at all. Save ur self the hassle keep what you've got.

allright thanks guys.

i was gonna try and play some homeworld 2, and now im reading the 9600s have problems with that anyways.

so..... according to some hardcore gamers, geforce fx 5900 should be a good deal.. its just a few bucks below 5700 ultra...... non-ultra off course

Yes, and it's double what he paid for the 5600U.
