Worth going w/ KT333 chipset w/ PC2100?

I'm looking to upgrade my mobo and processor. Last fall, I bought (2) Mushkin 512MB PC2100 DIMMS before the price increase so I could have them when I did an upgrade (currently have a C466). Will I get any benefit of the new chipset or should I stick with the KT266A? Any mobo recommendations are welcome - will be OC'ing, gaming and some basic DVE.

Thanks in advance! 🙂

GO HOOSIERS! 😀

the kt333 is pc2100 is slightly faster then the kt266a with pc2100 (but the margin is very small, and not something you would notice at all except in benchmarks)

but the kt333 is newer, and it does have more features, including ata133 support

I agree with Boonesmi....

unless you unlock your processor I think there will be little performance difference between KT333 vs KT266A...the added features maybe worth the difference though...such as ATA133 but we all know that there is little difference between ATA100 and ATA133...
I have a KR7A-RAID with an ATA133 Maxtor HDD and see no differencebetween it and my Maxtor ATA100(on raid setup as ATA133/ATA100)

If there is no price difference or minimal for sure go with the new board...the new features and updated chipset is worth that...
