worth going from ATA to SATA2 or 1??

Was wondering if it really made a big differnce from regular ata to SATA2 or 1?

Nope. Only if you need more space by running out of ports.

Its not worth UPGRADING, but if ur planing on buying a new drive go for the SATA interface for sure.

problem is i already have a 250gb 8meg and just wanted to got 250gb Sata but it seems its not worth it.

It's not worth swapping out a 250gb PATA drive for a SATA drive, but i'd go for SATA for future drives when you need more room.

if you are adding an ADDITIONAL 250 gb hd then i would say yes get an sata drive if you already hve the sata ports etc .....but if you are referring to replacing your current 250 gig with an sata, no it isnt worth it..

Not much diferance and some drive models actully work better on PATA than the same model useing SATA.

The only advatage (other than a longer ecock) is the cables. They are easier to route, look better, and don't hamper air flow as much.
