Worth getting a new sound card?

I currently have a Hercules Gametheater XP. Great card - quality sound (imo), and also has a breakout box to go with it (very handy) Only bad part is that it's pretty old (from 2000, IIRC) and so far, I haven't been able to get the drivers to work with Vista. I saw this Diamond Xtreme Sound 7.1 DDL and was wondering whether it'd be worth ugprading or not.

My current speakers are Cambridge Soundworks FPS 2000 Digital, but I'm considering replacing them (not sure how likely). Any recommendations for speakers? I know the logitech x-530's seem to be pretty popular.

Does that Diamond card have drivers for Vista? If so, then upgrading from "won't work" to "will work" seems like it'd be worth it.

yeah.. looks like it's pretty good, but no Xi-fi (not that i'd spend $$ on the Xi fi ). no vista drivers listed on diamond's website though

oops sorry about that i posted the wrong link --same as one before it.

basically it "sounds" like it is same as onboard sound with that one nice feature added
