So, in one of those purchases where you sort of gradually collect the parts for a system, I got 2x 1GB Corsair DDR2, 800MHz, for $260+$12 S/H after MIR.
Just after it arrived, I see on sale today at Fry's, OCZ 2x 1GB 1000MHz RAM for the same price, $260 after MIR (+sales tax).
I know some are advising that even 800 MHz is overkill; I went with the Sharky Extreme recommended RAM. Maybe there's benefit to it being good RAM for a long time.
The question, of course, is: would it be worth returning the Corsaid and buying the 1000 MHz OCZ instead? As long as I'm buying RAM, it's tempting to get the better type.
