Realistically, I would say either 1 of 4 deaths:
- Being crucified. Death is excruciatingly painful and takes up to 3 days. The pain comes from having to constantly decide whether to put your weight on the nails through your feet or to hang from the nails through your wrists, all the while there is tremendous pressure just to breathe on your rib cage and diaphragm. Eventual cause of death is asphyxiation.
- Being burned at the stake by a slow fire. Death could take hours.
- Being drawn-and-quartered. You are hung by a noose around the neck until you pass out. Then you are revived, and they cut off your hands and burn them before your eyes. Then they cut off your feet and burn those. Then they cut off your genitals and burn those before you eyes. Then they hang you again. Then they cut you down and cut you into 4 pieces, and then finally behead you.
- Being cast into a well with a couple of feet of water in it. Death could from 1-2 weeks. While they is plenty of water, there is no food, and you cannot sleep for fear of drowning. Final cause of death is starvation, but sleep deprivation madness sets in long before.

Insert an electrode into the pain center of your brain and slowly feed an ever increasing signal until the pain causes you to not be able to breath and you suffocate. You could also insert one into the pleasure center and make them have intense moments of ectasy followed by intense pain. (You could call it the Cream and Scream machine....I am bad - must be tired)
Or just force someone to listen to rap music until they pluck their own eyeballs out in order to stuff them in their ears (can't make them listen while they are under the eletrode though, because that would be totally inhuman...😀).

I read about some pirate that would take out just enough of a captive's intestine to nail it to the mast. He would then come after him with a hot iron poker or lit fuse, forcing the guy to stand there and get burned or run away and unravel his own intestines.
To be put in a cubical of dilute acid and the side wall slowley squeezing the acid ever more tightly...
Your eyes will burn in your skull because of the acid and you will feel your body slowley been eaten away.
With the pressure increasing, the acid will find anyway possible to equalize itself, due to the fact ur insides are less dense,
the acid will force its way into any hole possible, ur eyes, ears, genitals, rectum ect(burning and frizzing inside yourself)... when the pressure gets to strong ur eye sockets will collapse and acid would rush to ur brain (if it has not already got there through the ears) thus eating away at ur brain while you have ur last thoughts......
