on a relevant note, YES that was the RIGHTEOUS thing to do, writing notes with condiments is SO much more refined than actually talking to management in a mature and respectful manner about your displeasure with service, you got CLASS

IHOP is so incredibly good. I can't even decide what I want when I go in there because their omlettes are all so good. I stick to the breakfast menu though, maybe YMMV on the dinner stuff.

And yes, we called it 'highhop' for a reason, too.

yea i was referring to their breakfast menu... don't you find the food altogether inferior and flavorless compared to denny's? the hash browns... i dunno the hash browns are just never right.

Newsflash! It's not Christmas anymore. I'm at work currently and I'm not getting Christmas pay. Chrismas was yesterday from 12am on. Today is the 26th. If Dennys is also on the same calendar, then the workers there are likely not getting Christmas pay either.

I do not think you understand. No one wants to work the graveyard shift on or after christmas. For all you know, the graveyard shift started at 10 pm ON Christmas.

dennys is awesome.....i cant think of a better place to go eat breakfast at when all i have is $5 left from drinking at the bar all night. also being out when all the freaks are there is pretty entertaining

That alone should have told you something. If I would have had to wait 35 minutes just to get seated, I would have bailed out and found another place.
 
Hard to believe that you expected anything more than what you got from a place like Denny's. What's harder to believe is that you're ignorant enough to do stupid, childish crap and then broadcast it to the world.

In any case, one of my most interesting dining experiences was at the Denny's in Monterey CA. Went in and there was a waiting line and in that line was this young, apparently homeless couple. This guy actually had an onion hanging off his belt (I guess he thought it was the style at the time).

I got seated close to them and they were still looking at the menu. The waitress comes to take their order and the guy orders first. He ordered a Grand Slam. Then the gal ordered and she asks the waitress what the total is going to be. The waitress tells her and the gal is taken aback and she asks why it's so much. The waitress starts to list the items ordered along with the prices. She only got the first item out, which was the guy's Grand Slam. The gal starts arguing the price of the Grand Slam. Seems the Grand Slam costs more on weekends than during the week. When the gal realizes that the price is higher, she starts reaming the guy's rear for ordering the Grand Slam and she's hollering that he has spent all the money. I guess she wasn't smart enough to realize that they could change the order.

They work it out and the waitress goes away. I ate as fast as I could and got out of there. Went next door to Chevron to get gasoline and while I'm fueling the couple apparently gets thrown out. They're out on the sidewalk hollering about how they didn't want to eat there anyway.

In any case, that's about what I expect when I go to a Denny's. Especially after hours.

I worked at Denny's.. it sucked. Tips were good, but other then that I didn't care much for it.. so I feel your pain. Then again, when sh!tty customers come in, sometimes you do what you gotta do.
 
you know what, denny's just sucks. Went there after an all day concert once, and they took forever to get things done and were racist towards my indian friends. never again.

LOL @ spelling terrible wrong. That must have really impressed them. 😀

Anyway, try talking to the management next time around in a calm serious manner. They'd probably have knocked your bill down some if you did so. Instead, uh, I guess you chose the road less traveled...

The fact that nobody involved in your service ever saw it.

The bus boy came by, cleared the table, and split before the waitress went by there again.

So that was a lot of stupid just wasted!
