Here's my top ten, in no particular order.
1. High Rise Condo Apartments - Seriously, you're paying $200k+ for long term use of floor space. What do you actually own? Buy a house or rent instead.
2. Lottery tickets - self explanitory. Odds of winning 1 in 13 million, or something like that.
3. Diamonds - Some people are saying diamond jewlery is overvalued. Now that they can basically create them in labs, I believe them.
4. Premium Gas - Chances are your car doesn't need it.
5. Snow Tires - I've driven up hills covered in ice with all-seasons. Unless you like in a place where roads don't get plowed, you probably don't need them.
6. Vague Charities - I know the cancer society earmarks money for cancer research. I don't know what exactly WWF does. Activism? Not helping animals. No thanks. Why would I give you money?
7. HDMI Cables - If you pay more than $10 for a standard 6ft HDMI cable, you're an idiot.
8. Extended Warranties - Useless 99% of the time.
9. The Government - I still don't know what they do with it besides hire more civil servants at rediculous wages.
10. Interest - someone else said it above. Don't get yourself into debt.
