What an interesting date for a big reunion announcement! Today on Nov. 11, 2011 at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, Black Sabbath have announced the reunion of their original lineup of Geezer Butler, Tommy Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, and Bill Ward as well as their first new album in 33 years produced by Rick Rubin. A 2012 World Tour is also in the works with their only scheduled date as of now is an appearance at the UK's Download Festival on Saturday, June 10, 2012. We'll keep you updated on any local appearances by Black Sabbath here in Los Angeles when we get the info Scenestar readers! Check out Black Sabbath's announcement video at the jump:

srsly, Ozzy? On stage?

Yeah heard rumors of this. Ozzy's voice has been shot for a while. As much as I love early Sabbath, I don't see this really taking off. Sometimes it's best to leave well enough alone and let your work stand for itself.

Well just because you are a little older doesn't mean you can't rock and roll! It just means that if you want to run around the stage rocking it, you may have to do it on a Segway.

I saw Ozzy in Reno this year. He was fucking awesome, the show totally rocked. I was amazed, I pretty much expected him to at least use a walker, but he still is bad ass. Prince of darkness indeed!
