Yep, my thoughts exactily. Frankly, I don't think everyone in AEG is asswipe. But I do think that many are... So, even if 50 out of the 100 guys in the organization are "shrewed, liers and thieves" then, I'd still say the company sucks.

But for the most part, I only care about this forum. AT forums are the best out there and he (Rollo) and his 4 henchmen or what not defiled these forums. It is going to take a long time for the crap to drain out, if ever. Since he is the only one who came clean (If you call it clean! :roll: ) out of his little posse, then that means there are others HERE that have not disclosed that they are working for AEG, which further means, they are a shady company... 😀

LOL, look who's in full spin mode. Who are you, Oliver North? Mind telling me why they didn't disclose their affiliation before they were asked if they didn't want to hide the affiliation? Not to mention how Rollo kept denying it and threatening to get people banned until the cat got out of the bag.

Also if it was really some nVidia guy who got Rollo his gig with AEG, then I'd say it's even worse, since it seems this nVidia guy wanted Rollo to do specifically what he's good at, which is trolling the forums, looking to bash nVidia's competition at every opportunity. He may be banned now here, but he seems to be still on the HardOCP forum doing what he was recruited to do. If he's an exception and bad apple, shouldn't they let him go by now?

Even if the graph did come from ATI (which it did not) how is it such a crime to simply cut the graph off at a certain point? Do you have ANY idea how many online reviewers do the same thing? Remember AMD Versus Intel benchmarks that both companies would put out? The graph would never start at zero... If it did, there would be no "wow" factor... Personally, the only people that this type of graph would fool, is someone who flunked math class.

But, again, this didn't come from ATI.

You'll find it a little harder to laugh this post off archangel...

a while before Rollo was banned, he PM'd me out of the blue (prior to that we had never communicated except on the forum) and said if he could ever do anything at all for me name it. At the time I already knew he had nVIDIA contacts )if you read the anandtech forums carefully, it's common knowledge and he never made a secret of it).

So, I took him up on his offer, since I had tried to raise concerns of my own at nVIDIA and had met with no response.

What follows is excerpts from the PM's (note I don't keep PM's and hardly ever get or send any, what follows are what I kept in a notepad file):

Me: Rollo,

You stated I could feel free to ask you a favor, so I'm going to call one in if you don't mind.

Could you contact your nVidia friend for me and ask if there is any chance at all that nVidia can enable transparency AA for nV4x as well as for G7x.

Really, at this stage of the game with replacements for the nV4x line about to launch top to bottom, what do they have to lose by not doing this? (I'm certain they can do this, just like after GF2 launched you could use the NSR (nVidia Shading Rasteriser - a precursor to pixel shaders) that was lying dormant in those GPU's).

This would help to silence the fanATics who have recently seized upon ATi enabling transparency AA for R4xx, but nV4x lacking it.

This link is an email I tried to send to nVidia (have never heard back from them) on the subject (as well as AGP 7800) back in June 2005. I have no idea if anyone at nVidia ever recieved or read it.

I wonder if you could point your nVidia friends here and to this demo in particular?

This would solve the Doom3 grilled floor aliasing if it could be somehow implimented into the driver (as an optional add on to Doom3's shader perhaps). Something like it might be able to applied to alpha textures in Mafia.

Could you possibly get your nVidia friend to put these issues before someone in the company in a position to do something about them? I would really appreciate it if you could.

Rollo: Done Greg, I guarantee you it will get in front of people at nVidia, hopefully I'll get an answer soon.

Rollo: I emailed your PM with links directly to one of their managers I met at the G70 launch last summer, so you were heard if nothing else.

Rollo: I got an answer on your first question: TAA only works on the G70>. (from a guy on the nV driver team)
