These are some of the worst actors I have ever seen.
The camera zooms and unzooms on every new camera view.
The sub-plots are extremely cliche.
The CG is horrible.
The real disaster footage is from 1980.

But for some reason... I cannot stop watching.
 
I watched for like 5 min during the NBA finals but the zooming every time the camera switched to a new person was too ridiculous. Seemed like a pretty bad movie anyway.

is this the movie where they end up setting off nukes along the fault line, to like return it back to normal?

if it is then yes its terrible

If you're watching it on NBC this type of camera tactic shouldn't be surprising, all their shows do the same annoying thing.
