Hitler certainly had a very far reaching effect on many, many people, but I wonder how evil he really was? How sadistic? He mostly ordered killings, and then not even necessarily ordered all the killing that took place. Someone like Charles Manson is probably a much more unstable and "evil" person than Hitler, even though he killed less.
 
Stalin. But by pure percentage of population murdered in the shortest amount of time, Pol Pot takes the cake.
