Worst lead singer voice?

The singers from Nickleback, Creed, and Breaking Benjamin. Can't stand the sound of their voices.

Pretty much any of the pieces of shit that autotune the fuck out of their voice in any given song today. That song by Hoobastank a few years back just infuriates me because of it. Chad Kroeger would be up there for me as well.

Actually, I think it might be James Hetfield. I wish they'd just do instrumentals from now on.

It takes some getting used to, but Geddy's voice is fine, and Lemmy's is perfect for Motorhead. Give me a voice with some character over any of the "I can't sing for shit, so I'll just have the computer do half the song" people out there today.

The guy from Green Day has an odd voice that I used to not like as well (doesn't bother me now though).

Agreed with the first two, haven't heard of the last one.

Chad Kroeger has an extremely obnoxious voice.

Well, I haven't heard the last one, but based on the first two, I'll go with this.
Axl Rose sucked, too.
And whoever sang for Better Than Ezra.
And Rod Stewart.

Different strokes I guess but Axl actually had some talent, listen to the songs where he sang normal.

Billy Corgan. Like a howler monkey being dragged across a chalkboard.

Oh, and the lead singer from Violent Femmes. Terrible, terrible voice.

It's actually all the same guy. And the same band. I think. Isn't it?

formulaic shit rock ftl

But to answer the OP, without question, Courtney Love. She sits atop a giant throne in the palace of suck, and all the other shit bands and their singers pray to her.

Ronnie James Dio.

Gwen Stefani is a close second, and Deron Miller (CKY) takes third (though to be fair, the whole band sucks ass).

Bob Dylan - most annoying singer ever.

Great song writer though.

Yep.

I'm going with Dylan for males and Grace Slick for females.

Edit: Ooh, I forgot about the Violent Femmes. I change my vote to that asshole.

IMO, the guy from Rush or the AC/DC guy, wow they are bad. What about you? Another singer that is bad, may be professional or not, is the guy who does the HHH intro song in wrestling, I have never heard such a horrible voice.

Erroneous! Erroneous! Erroneous on both accounts. The distinctive voices of the lead singers is part of the appeal of those bands. The vocals in the HHH video sucked though, I'll give you that.

John Lennon's voice was pretty bad without studio magic. I haven't heard a singer yet where I didn't think their voice was appropriate. Dylan's a good example. It might not be classically good, but he can convey a lot of meaning in a inflection. People really don't give him enough credit.
