You aren't supposed to run cabling with the ends already crimped on...
I'm talking about trying to pull a patch cable through a mess of wires behind a desk or something. If you don't have the little cover it gets stuck on all the other wires and breaks off.

USB plugs....
While usb is great the plug itself sucks...no matter which way I try plugging a device in first, it's always the wrong way....it's really sad too b/c the choice is 50/50

It's call the 50/50/90 rule. When offered a 50/50 chance of choosing the right option, 90% of the time you'll choose the wrong one.

Motion sensing toilets that flush every time you so much as flinch. Yes...I love having the thing flush 4 times as I'm trying to wipe my ass and pull up my pants. And then I go over to the motion sensing sink and have to wave my hands around furiously trying to find the magical spot where it notices I'm trying to get it to turn on. Only to be faced with the same motion-retarded soap dispenser that doesn't know your hand is there until it's gone and then blows it's load on the counter. And once I have consumed 14x the amount of water that I normally would, taken 4.3 times longer to wash my fucking hands while leaving foaming piles of lightly scented antibacterial spooge on the counter I have to go over and spend another 45 seconds drying my hands under a motion sensing hand dryer consuming god knows how much electricity it requires to fire up, make heat, and blow it at 180 miles per hour across my hands when I could have just grabbed a paper towel and been on my merry way.

LOL I was just about to say motion sensor paper towel dispensers where they give you a sliver of a towel for which I need about 4x as much and have to sit there waiting and waiving or come out of the mens room looking like I pissed on my hands.

Frickin' earbuds. They don't fit my ears AT ALL-not even when sitting. I really wouldn't mind if they didn't become standard. What really annoys meis when the world acts like the problem doesn't exist, like when I see marketing materials for things like the ear clips that fit standard Apple buds say things like "they work just fine when sitting, but what about when working out?"

The in-ear type work fine enough. Why aren't those standard with audio equipment? Of course you can use your own, but when the iPhone launched it wasn't an option due to the design. WhenI got my Sony MPD-AP20U (hard to define), I was expected to use the in-line remote with the extra-short buds it included. Using anything longer was a nightmare.

Humm. I don't do runs or that sort of support any more, but I never ran into a borken tab. I guess I could see it being useful and not having the hassle of re-terminating.

I know it never was mass produced but Thomas Edison invented and tried to sell concrete furniture and houses. Sounds comfortable.

I don't think you can credit edison with inventing the concrete house. I think that one dates a little further back to the Romans. And notice how their buildings are still standing hundreds of years later while our flimsy structures are collapsing after half a century?
