I live in NC, and had season tix to the Panthers 2001 year. Yes, they lost 15 in a row, but they were nowhere near the worst team of all time. They only got blown out twice all year, and was in pretty much every game. They lost 3 games in OT, and 5 others within the final minute of the game.

Now, the '76 Bucs, as stated above, sucked. They were an expansion mix of has-been, rejects, and rookies. IIRC, they were shutout like 5 times, and only really had a chance to win one game: vs. Seattle, the other expansion team that season.

uhh in the last 5 years the Niners have been to the playoffs three times (1999, 2002, 2003). That's more than you can say for the Bengals, Chargers, Cardinals, etc.

I wouldnt say the current 49ers are the "worst team ever" They do really well for the first 3 quarters of the game. Its just they have problems closing out the freaking game when they have the lead.

That was just the first couple of games. Since then it's been the opposite. They can't play the first 3 quarters, then are behind so much they throw every down. Luckily the other team is just playing prevent then, and the Niners are able to at least put up respectable numbers for offense, when they're really just a pile of ass garbage
