Worst Football Team Ever?

Ok, which NFL football team do you think was the worst ever. Preferrably put a year to the team too as I will try to put up my gigantic pole when enough teams have been mentioned. Yes, I will try, it is large and unwieldy.

My vote goes to this years San Francisco's 49ers. They should be winless, and probably won't win another game this year. They have no offensive line, no defensive line, their secondary is completly injured, and their wideouts are undersized and inexperienced.

Also, what year did the Carolina Panthers go 1-15, with 15 straight losses? Those are the two teams that I can think of off the top of my head.

what about the San Diego Chargers a while back? when they almost went winless the whole season?

What year, do you know?

i found it!
2000: The Chargers season was just one thunderous thud as the team lost its first 11 games, many of them in heartbreaking fashion as 6 were by less than a Touchdown. On November 26th Chargers would finally get their first win when John Carney delivered a last second FG to give the Chargers a 17-16 win over the Kansas City Chiefs 17-16 at San Diego. The win would provide no spark as the Chargers seemed to play worse losing their final 4 games on the way to a miserable 1-15 record. Following the season Ryan Leaf is released following a turnover plagued season, as he would go down in history as one of the biggest busts in NFL history.

The '76 Buccaneers went 0-14, shut out five times. They would've lost more, but the schedule was only 14 games back then. They lost the next twelve games in 77 too, making 26 straight losses including 11 shutouts.

sounds like a winner to me. As mentioned pick any of the late 70s, and 80s Bucs team (with the sweet white and orange uniforms) and they all stunk bad!

uhhh 67-present.

no cincinatti?

Which year? We're talking about a specific year here people, not a span or an entire franchises history. Bump with new choices also. My pole is getting larger, keep it coming. Oh man, that's a little too much, even for me
