Let's all think that it never happened and (since we are all powerful) it will be so...

<< The Perfect Storm... >>

it was based on a true story, they never found the bodys of those sailors, hence, they must have all died in the storm, it wasn't really a suprise ending if you new the story because you knew they were going to die

<< Seven- most depressing ending ever >>

WTF did you say!!! Se7en has one of THE BEST endings in any movie, ever!!

as for The Holy Grail, i laughed my ass off the first time i saw the end!

<< That stupid damn movie with jack nicholson when he goes crazy. My god the end to that still pisses me off for wasting two hours of my life.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest? Or The Shining? Both are awesome movies, classics now infact.

Should have been more specific - it's a recent movie and he is a cop tracking some killer. Damn my senile tendencies I can't remember the name of it... EDIT: THE PLEDGE. Yes, what a god-damnable piece of crap.

Skoorb, the movie you are talking about is "The Pledge".

That movie had so much promise, but the ending was such a let down...

Ah, i know what you're talking about. The Promise... or something along that line. Yeah, i didn't even watch the entire movie because it was sooooo boring.

Planet of the Apes had the worst ending i think. I mean wtf? Modern civilized monkeys? and that damn ape lincoln... :|

The movie was slowly building up to the end and there was supposed to be a show-down and you know what happens? He goes insane and the bad guy dies in a stupid car crash, totally unrelated to anything and the movie f**king ends. What a piece of crap. Worst movie I've seen in years and I've seen a lot of garbage.

<< I just saw Pay it Forward for the first time. It had probably the worst ending I've ever seen -- very contrived, very unnecessary, and very manipulative. Needless to say, I was gagging while I was watching it. What was once a simply mediocre movie turned into a barf fest at the end. :disgust: >>

I agree Pay It Forward is pure overwrought garbage. It was such a letdown for me too 'cause I admire Kevin Spacey so much. 🙁 My favorite movies include L.A. Confidential, Usual Suspects, The Negotiator, American Beauty, Seven... and then he makes that crap. *sigh*

I would have to say Arlington Road. At the end of the movie you wanted to throw stuff at the screen.....

Ok....I guess I'll avoid that one.
I was thinking of renting it on the basis that it's a Spacey movie, it can't be that bad........sheesh!

Worst ending for a movie?

I'd have to say The Ninth Gate with Johnny Depp. Till now, I dont get what happened. :disgust:

I thought the same thing when I first saw it in the theater. It felt like a big "F U" from the Director, but after doing some research the website explains it.

Planet Of The Apes -->About The Movie --> Ape Insight --> Launch Research Project.

I guesss that makes sense??? But they could of explained a bit more... and I still think the ending sucked, I want a happy ending!

Leo should of killed damn Thade. Stupid monkey.

<< Sphere, quite possibly the WORST ending to *ANY* movie made in the 90's. >>

bdog231 - why are you limiting it to the 90's? I stand firm that it was the worst ending EVER. Anyone saying Planet of the Apes just has no long term memory. Crappy ending, but in the elite class of bad ending movies by a long shot.

<< A close second is Ronin. That movie was good but they just killed it with the ending by not revealing what was in that suitcase. I know that the reason why they didn't show what was inside was because it was something of great value, but still...the suitcase was the point of the whole movie. >>

I beg to differ. The whole point of the movie was DeNiro's character trying to catch/kill that rogue IRA bloke. Although I think it would've been better had they used the alternate ending.

Planet of the Apes (remake). I hate that darn ending. It is just wack. Totally ruins it for me. Now the original, that was a great ending.
