Worst day of the week? Move over Monday...here comes Tuesday

I feel that Tuesday is the worst day of the week because this is the lowest mental point of the week when you are most aware of your pain. The second worst is Sunday, especially in the afternoon and evening.

Monday - shock/disbelief. You are less conscious during this time.

Tuesday - You are fully conscious and have come into acceptance of your hell. You realize that tomorrow is only the middle of the week, hardly something to look forward to. This is the peak of weekday mental suffering and is the hardest on you emotionally.

Wednesday - This is genuine hell, but at least you recognize that you are in a tunnel and not a hole in the ground.

Thursday - You see light at the end of this tunnel. One more day of suffering.

Friday - Thank Krishna! Its finally Friday! Just 8 hours of discomfort and you can finally live your life for a couple of days the way Krishna intended.

Saturday - Pure bliss. You finally made it. Your long journey through Satan's house of horrors has finally come to an end.

Sunday - Anxiety, fear, dread. Sunday cannot be enjoyed. Sunday is only a buffer zone, the only thing standing between your one true day off and the hell that awaits you. Sunday is only good for one thing; It makes Saturday possible.

I agree with boonmogg.

My commute sucks worse on Tuesdays and that sets the tone for the whole day.
 
I have every second Friday off - we call it a "compressed working week" or CWW ... so you do 9X 9 days and get a long weekend every second one.

It means every second Tues is effectively a Wedensday, and the Thursday a Friday.

Friday of the CWW week is like Saturday but Saturday is the most awesome day ... because its the second night in a row you get to sleep in late ... the Sunday is not as bad as a normal Sunday, as your much less anxious.

I love the 9 day fortnight but Monday's truly are a biatch because it is very hard to get to sleep early enough Sunday night ... so by Monday afternoon of the first week your a zombie.

Shock/Disbelief - less conscious

I have thought this through very well.
 
Monday is my only bad day. It's only bad because I had a day off before it. If I worked every day I'd be much better I think.
 
moonbogg, you speak the truth. Not only is Tuesday the worst day, but for many people Sunday is a day of dread that cannot be truly enjoyed.
 
ANY day is what you make it.

Not a fan of monday's either but I've been making it a great day and the misery eventually goes away.

We are in more control of our emotion/feelings then we think.

PS. Yesterday was a great day for me.
 
I dunno, I rather look forward to Monday, after 2 days of dealing with kids and wife I rather like being able to go in my office and hear nothing but the fans on my workstation for a while.

Amen. In addition to what you wrote, Tuesday is my one vegetarian day (lord help me) and it's my meeting day (at least 3-4 meetings on tuesdays :/)
 
I, too, have always hated Tuesday the most.

I believe this is because, when I was younger, dentist appointments tended to be on Tuesdays, or my dentist had a name or office that sounded like "Tuesday"...something that always associated "Tuesday" with "Dentist" in my brain. That's most of it, but then I grew to discover novel and sundry reasons to dislike Tuesdays.

Carlin had another bit about going for a job interview and turning the tables on the interviewer by asking what there policy was on Monday and Friday absenteeism. And asking for an office close to the door so he could out of the there on Friday in a big big hurry. And then ending the interview by saying he'd be ready to start in a month but expected to be paid immediately.

Wouldn't you love to be able to do that.

Wow ... must say that while I don't love my job there's no way it rules my mood like this. I try to have a positive attitude and for the most part succeed in enjoying every day!
