Strictly based on reception, out of the major carriers that you have used which one did you have the worst reception with?

Please ignore any customer service, pricing, or other issues, make this strictly based on your ability to make and receive calls.

This is only focusing on the major national carriers.

By far, Alltel is the worst service provider I have ever come encounter with. It's down for a day everyother week.

AT&T FTL. Worst. Cell phone company. evar! OTOH, Ive had nothing but praise for Alltel. If you read the news stories about the alltel outage, you would have seen it wasnt alltel's fault. A fiber optic line was cut which carried the calls from the cell sites.

+1, but in regards to cingular... i switched to Verizon and been very happy ever since

Sprint for me, but that was all the way back in 2001. Their coverage sucked and their CS (I know that isn't officially part of the survey) was nightmarish. I think CS is in many ways a better indicator of carrier quality, since coverage is so region-specific, whereas Sprint CS blows from sea to shining sea.

that is true, i wonder if its because their customer service is over seas lol
