Worrying Win2k crash

Ive been really impressed with 2k so far, always shuts down when told and hardly ever crashes, until now that is!!
Didnt realise it was a crash at first cos it automatically rebooted without any blue screen, turned that off now
The error message is as follows:
"STOP 0x000000D1 (0x00000006, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x00000006)
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"

At first glance i thought maybe the irq bit was a clue but other than Win2k lumping all devices on one irq i cant find any problems. One worrying thing about when it crashes is upon bios check the hard drive spins up again as if the power was severed. Dunno if this is a feature of 2k, but its a bit alarming!.
I cant really pinpoint the cause of the crash, its happened a few times when loading edonkey up or loading my TV card, other times the pc has been sat happily idling away, and then it happens again.
Some people have linked this type of crash to power problems, Ive been monitoring the +5V line and it does fluctuate a bit but never below 4.71V, also never had any problems of this kind before, these crashes have only happened recently.
Im completely stumped, so if you guys cant figure out the cause i think a reinstall is on the cards :(
Cheers in advance for any advice offered

Hey Andy,

Do you have NIC in the machine if so what brand, second do you have a DSL modem if so what brand and/or do you have a modem and what brand.

The error might lie with one of these three items and a rare case might be the RAM.

I have a linksys 100Mb network card (think its the TXE100 or something?)
We do have a cable modem (living in a shared house ) but we've got it hooked up to a router so no driver issues there
Dont have a modem installed cos i dont need it and modems always give you grief no matter what the make :)

I dont think its hardware related as the only component i have upgraded recently is the cpu, and that was a couple of months ago now. Also bought a psion wavefinder (DAB receiver, got it for £47 reduced from £100, rrp £300!!) Cant see it being that
