Worried about Vcore?

Vcore "dipping" under load is normal on this board (and probably any other wihtout the 12V connector)
This thread may answer why...Vcore Dipping Thread
With the 4G4A you can adjust voltage to 1.85V which will give you about 1.77-1.8V under load. I suggest that this is the highest you will want to go with standard cooling.

Summary: if you cannot get your 1.6A to run at 2.4GHz with 1.85Vcore, you are very unlucky.

PS. can anybody please explain to me (nice and simply!) how DDR memory settings work please? All I know (or guess I know) is that with an FSB of 150MHz and "memory frequency" ratio of 1:1, I need DDR300 (=150x2). So if I have DDR333 memory, shouldn't I be able to set the FSB to 166? And if the PC crashes is it memory or CPU that needs more volts. And why use different memory frequency ratios... TIA :)

Sorry - this was meant to be a reply to the "The EPoX 4G4A+ seems very promising" thread.
