Worried about STDs

This is the 1st time I will have gone in for testing. I've had unprotected sex with 3 different girls, 2 were my gf's and the other one was a drunken ONS. I'm in my young 20's and all my partners were as well. I have no symptoms that I can see, but you never know. I'm sitting here at work freaking out as to what the results could be....

I honestly haven't gotten tested earlier because I was afraid.

well ........the good news is if your white and in a suburban area your chances are drastically reduced. Since you've only had 3 partners and only one was a questionable encounter your odds are very very slim. In the future I would recommend wrapping it up with questionable bar skanks. More for the chance of pregnancy than anything else. Myself and my friends were alot more reckless in college than you have been and we've all came out fine.

I'm not a coward, I've just never been tested. I'd like to think that if I was I would pass. Look at the tested, and think there but for the grace go I. Might be a coward, I'm afraid of what I might find out. I've never had to knock on wood, but I know someone who has. Which makes me wonder if I could.

Why the fear of being tested? If you have an STD, you have it whether you get tested or not. You should be afraid of the women you have unprotected sex with, and not be afraid of the test.

That said, you are probably ok. If you have no signs, few partners, etc., you probably won't have anything serious. You never know, you COULD have something. But I bet you don't. Congrats for finally facing your fears and getting the test.

I know I made some stupid mistakes by having unprotected sex, but when you're in the heat of the moment and there are no condoms nearby the primal urge to just have sex regardless is very powerful. This is something they definitely don't tell you about during sex-ed. I go in for testing tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have the results by early next week.

What is more surprising is how few women will even request that you use condoms.....

1) Nobody 'deserves' an STD.
2) He should get tested, no argument. He is putting others at risk, but they are also equally as responsible for engaging w/o protection.
3) Calling him a dumbass and wishing an STD on him isn't 'good parenting' either, it's being an asshole.

You're twenty and you're only just starting to think about sexual health because you're "afraid"? Good god man! Grow some balls, take responsiblity, develop some willpower, get yourself tested, and start using protection.

Not only are you risking unexpected pregnancy (since you seem to have no clue about birth control) but also the transmission of diseases between partners. That's really unfair to the person you are having sex with.
