Worm problem

A PC has been infected with TBH Worm .
The Norton article here Norton describes a pretty complicated removal process . Is there no easier way to remove it ? By the way , the PC was "protected" with AGV Free version , and also a run of quite a few Anti Spyware programs revealed nothing . Would CCleaner be of any use , or would it just make things more complicated ?
Trend Micro also has an article on it here Trend Micro .
From a quick look , it would appear that a lot of the ecurity programs don't even have it in their threat list . Is this typical ?

You could try System Restore and see how that goes. Consider switching this computer's user to a non-Admin user account if possible. That would've arbitrarily prevented the infection; the Technical Details in Symantec's report is like a laundry list of things a non-Admin account is incapable of doing.

Also apply the new AutoRun patch and consider fully disabling AutoPlay.
