World's Smallest USB 2.0 Reader

Ok, those things are getting ridiculous. I use the reader that Kingston bundles with some of its microSD cards, and I almost need a pair of tweezers to handle them.

Maybe semi-OT, but Micro Center's latest ad has a 4 piece tweezer set (6811380) for $1.99. That's only 50 cents a tweeze ...

Why put it in your sock? just put it in a little plastic baggy and put it through the scanner with the rest of your things. After you're through security you can take it out of the bag and put it wherever you want.

Intel I think was giving away the Adata sized reader with a 2GB micro SD card at CES, wasn't exactly the same as Adata, maybe even smaller really. Neat promo, too bad they punched your badge so you could only get one. ;(

i got one a few months ago. it arrived a bit broken, the "circuit board" was misaligned so i had to take it apart and put it back together. works fine with my 1gb and 2gb cards. i don't have any sdhc cards to test though.

That joke is normally supposed to be directed at a guy. Otherwise, it's just stupid and doesn't make any sense 😛.

That card reader looks a bit odd, btw. The USB connector, I mean. It looks like they may have left out the metal "shroud" that's normally on a USB plug, just to make it smaller. Anyways, I'm kind of amazed that they're able to make any money off of these. How much does Airmail out of Hong Kong cost, I wonder?

Mine arrived today. It's a little tight when trying to plug into a USB port but works fine. I had no problem reading and writing to a 8GB microSDHC card.

This is the internet, where 80% of all women are actually men. I was just playing the odds. 😉

Mine showed up today, neat product. 🙂

Speeds are great as well. I don't know how you can screw up a USB card reader, but I've had quite a few cheap ones that were advertised as USB 2.0 but would only get like 1-2MBps in read and write tests. I tried this one w/a PQI microSD and read/write is 19/8MBps.

Ive had mine for a couple months now, i had it on my key chain because it seemed pretty cool to be able to have a reader on me anywhere i went. it lasted about a month and a half before it snapped in 2.
still worth the cash, but dont expect too much
