Wow, you can record FM too! From the review linked above:

Another cool feature is the FM recording which can be set to record at various bit rates up to 160 kbps. It does a great job recording, but you will still hear a hiss in the background because you are recording an FM signal. But it is none the less excellent for what it is.

I was looking at this for a while, but just never picked one up. I think the 2GB will be a perfect fit for me. I just want something small and decent sound quality (you're listening to a lossy format, it doesn't have to be audiophile grade). Definitely grabbing this when available (don't trust pre-orders anymore).

Doesn't look like it works with Napster2Go.

That's a deal breaker here.

Otherwise it looks great for the gym.

Advertised battery life is 10 hours; actual battery life is more like 8 hours, according to reviews. Here's a comment on battery life from the manufacturer. You'll have to order any battery replacements directly from them. Also found the manufacturer's blog:

BTW, here's the procedure for getting WMP to talk to the Cube:

  • Q. Why are some WMA files are not playing in my DAH-1500i MP3 Player?

When WMA have been protected within Windows Media Player, the files are then unable to be copied and sent to the MP3 player. This will cause the files to be seen, and will not appear or playback within the MP3 player.

To play and transfer DRM WMA supported Files :

Windows XP (Pro ? Home)[Using Windows Media Player version 9.0]

1.) Uncheck the Protect Content box.

    * Open Windows Media Player and go to Tools / Options / Copy Music.
    * Once Copy Music, un-check the option titled 'Protect Content?.
    * Click on ?Apply? then Click ?OK?.

2.) Transfer DRM WMA file from the PC to MP3 Player.

    * Connect the USB cable to your MP3 Player.
    * Open ? Windows Media Player ?.
    * On the left hand side, Click ? Copy to CD or Device ?
    * Drag & Drop the WMA DRM files on the left column side underneath where it says ?Items to Copy?(drag & drop the selected WMA DRM files).
    * On the Right column where it says ?Items on Device?, select the ?Removable Disk Drive (Drive)?. (The Removable drive is your MP3 drive).
    * Click ? Copy ? on the top right hand side.
    * ( The WMA DRM files will be copy directly to your MP3 device ).
    * Unplug the USB cable and enjoy listening to your wma files.

3.) If you have Windows Media Player 10

    * Go to TOOLS>OPTIONS> and another menu box will open.
    * Look for the ?RIP MUSIC? tab.
    * Check the ? COPY PROTECT MUSIC? box.

Add some nice retractable earbuds for portability:

Now, if they could add line input & mic input as well as a multifunction AC/airplane/car/USB adapter, I'd be all over it :) I'm sure mic input would drain it pretty quickly though. Being able to use it as a thumb drive is a really nice feature.

ABC News says that it should be out in a week or two. I'll ask for one for my bday in a few months ;)

neither does my iriver and I have no problem whatsoever as I feel my files are properly organized into a few folders. to each his own I guess, but I hate the tags.

I've had a white 1gb Mobiblu since August of last year and it has been good. I first saw one of these in Japan last July sold under a different name there. As soon as I found it was being sold in the states through walmart, I jumped at it. It even shows the titles of my Japanese songs in Japanese. One of my coworker bought one at my recommendation and she has been very happy with it as well. In fact, she told me that she uses it every night to listen to relaxation music with the use of its sleeper timer function.
Here are some pictures that I took last year.
Picture that shows how small it is
Look at the brightness of the OLED screen
Control for playing songs
The silicon cage is nice for protecting the player from being damaged.

I wish the earphone was more comfortable though.

I dont know why? I had a player that was supposedly "didnt work/wasnt compatible" with Napster-to-go. All I did was download the files and move them to the mp3 player. I dont understand how that isnt compatible. A buddy got locked into a yr contract with Napster like a dumbass and cant get out of it so he gave me his user id/pw and I get to use it for free which is pretty cool though, just didnt like how it said my creative player was incompatible but it worked just fine.

This cube is pretty cool though and definetely an eye catcher...but do ppl think this was just released? I remember seeing this ...seems like a year ago.
