Pint-sized Romeo is well-known in his hometown of Phagwara, India - for his ability to lift 1.5kg dumbbells - despite his overall 9kg body weight.

Hm.. How is this impressive? He cant even lift 1/4 of his weight? 😕

He needs to learn from ants 😛

He curls 1/6 of his body weight? Thats nothing, I bet most people who don't lift weights can do that.

it's called training. That's like me doing 30lb dumbbells, which is actually what I currently use. I need to actually weight train more, most stuff I do is all resistance-type stuff and exercises using my body only, sans weights (pushups, situps, etc etc). I'd say he's doing great. Not sure if he could get his muscles to proportionally match a larger-size person's and train to lift proportional weight? Like continue to train until he is lifting 1/3 his weight?

Stepping into mass training with 1/6th your weight isn't the easiest thing to do high reps with, but it's a good level that you can build with, especially if your coming from being out of shape your whole life. 🙂

yeah same here with the 30 lbs, I don't lift as often as I like, but that's what I use.

My equivalent would be 40 lb. dumbells. Sure, I can curl that, but it's not that bad. Considering he's the size of a cat and has one leg significantly longer than the other, I think he's doing fine.

That said, I can't believe this is real. I kept waiting for photochop confirmation, but no, this is apparently real. Wow.
