it makes me sick when people have more kids than even out the population, 2 kids per 2 people god what a better world it would be if we could even out population or heck even decrease population, this guy should be shunned not applauded.

He obviously lives in the middle of nowhere where there's lots of room. Get off your high horse, there's an awful lot of people that have no concept of how crowded the cities are, simply because they've never seen one. Big families are a lot more common than you'd think when you're out in the middle of nowhere, and it has been this way for millennia.

High horse? Shoot my parents had 3 kids so I think that would take me out of that category. Population in the entire world is just out of control with poor people having more kids and more wealthy and middle class having less kids it just causes more problems and in the end we simply wont have enough space not to mention the increased polution. People are trying to 'save the earth' well the best way to do that is not to have 10 kids who create lord knows how much polution and waste.

I dont understand what your graph is trying to prove to me? That in his country the typical person uses less therefore more children does not equal more pollution? I already stated I wasnt on a high horse, simply stating the simple facts of the world. An addition of any human being into the world will increase overall pollution, correct? Not to mention people from other countries immigrate to more energy consuming countries all the time. What of his 21 children? Who even knows where all of them live. Besides, the USA may take up the most electricity but the methods other countries use to obtain their power and manufacturing puts out insane amount of pollution compared to our own. So before you take the moral low ground, think of all the variables.

Yes, because American coal-burning power plants emit nothing but flowers.
Not to mention that a whopping percentage of OUR consumption, comes from those filthy overseas factories you despise.

Let's face it, you have NO clue what you're talking about.

I wouldn't be surprised if his large family still uses fewer resources by far than your average American small family.

Oh I would not be suprised either but regardless of where he is from my point was from a universal angle and since I live in the USA the USA was the first thing on my mind. This situation would be much worse if it was here instead of wherever he and his 21 kids call home. I never said I despised the factories, I just said they put out a ton of polution and they really have no regulations in many countries such as africa etc (where we dont get many things from at all). The US consumes a lot yes but those factories pound out plenty for the rest of the world mr self loathing american

Also jagec, the coal commercials on tv say coal is good, do you beg to differ sir?

Let me put it this way. Person in country A uses 20x the resources as a person in country B. If A has 1 child - the strains on the world future resources are the same B has 20 children.

And from article.
Mr Jogi's children and grandchildren live in six houses attached to his two-storey family home.

So the chance they will came to the U.S and over crowd you are slim to none.

certainly not, pollution was only one aspect of overcrowding, the negatives of an overcrowded planet are too numerous to even name. Things are petty good right now especially for those outside of china/india. My point was more and more wreckless breeding leads to more and more problems. 2 kids that you pool your resources for and get an education or 10 kids you dont have time for and cant afford, *shrug* not much else to say from my end.

Mr Jogi fathered his eldest daughter, Sita Devi, in 1943. His latest wife, Saburi, who has given him seven children, was first married to his eldest son Shiv Lal, who died 10 years ago.

Incest is best.

What the fuck?

Reading comprehension FTL, his oldest wife was his son's wife, but he died. It is odd in a westerner's eyes, but certainly not incest

This is why I like ATOT. You guys take everything so seriously
