Pretty cool. That would make a good xmas window display. Well, it would if people did cool xmas window displays anymore :^/

Love it! they are begging, pleading, cajoling it at the steps that proved difficult, and at the end "we need to go home". I bet that caused a few sleepless nights.

Seemed like most of the steps were just activating motors which makes it a lot less impressive to me.

Edit: unless it was powered by steam engine(s), which I guess is appropriate but still less Rube Goldebergesque to me than something that's mostly powered by gravity.

Seems to be a lot going on at any one time which is either a good thing as you can watch it several times and keep noticing new stuff, or a bad thing because in the flesh how long does this thing take to set up and watch once....

Also I know this was a test but the camera work is pretty shocking and the audio is crap.

Seriously nice piece of engineering though
