Self hatred is caused by being made to feel worthless if you fail to conform to the whatever insanity your guardians before you were themselves made to conform to when they were children, as we perpetrate and transmit our insanity from one generation to the next. By means of such put downs and the emotional threat they relay, we lock ourselves in cages of fear.
And thus it is that we are vulnerable to the psychopathically cunning who know how to manipulate that fear to ensnare us in cages of their own design and to milk that longing we feel to be loved for our money.
By the manipulation and stoking of our fears that our sacred values will be stolen from us, that we will be open to external threat, we wind up further abused and further depleted than before in exchange for that precious sense of belonging. What greater good can there be than to give to protect the sacred?
We never look to see that what we hold sacred is our insanity, that we throw our real selves under the bus for our turn to berate and hate our own imaginary evils.
There is only love and it died when we were children. Lacrimae rerum!
