World's best illusion

The spot under its wing. It works better if you click the red square a few times to allow your eyes more time to adjust to the red. When it turns back white, the sky appears blue.

I'm not seeing it, I tried 20 times, maybe it doesn't work on CRTs? It goes from red back to normal, I'm not even seeing a slight blue 🙁

I'm on an LCD and all I get is a very light pink colour for brief moment. Not a hugely effective one IMO.

Yeah the dove just turns into a slightly lighter color of the background for me too.

lol it's an optical illusion that works off your eyes not monitor issues. Maybe you have a fast refresh rate for your vision, heh.

Some of you guys are doing it wrong... it?s the bird that has the afterimage not the sky.
It should be a very noticeable effect as well, if you allow it to sit at the color longer anyways. They flip between the colors to quickly for full effect.

Have any of you seen the short film by the Bros. Quay, called, De Artificiali Perspectiva? It's a wonderful little piece on some image trickery that has been known about by artists and mathematicians for centuries. It also gives a whole new perspective (lol punny), on some very famous pieces of art.

Neither the curveball nor the bird ones work for me. Lame.

They work. Are you by any chance visually and/or mentally impaired?

No. I got the bird one to work by following the advice in this thread, but the curveball one doesn't do anything for me. Just looks like a spinning ball falling straight down no matter how I look at it.

Are you doing it right? For the ball look at the blue dot on the right. The ball should seem to move to the left as it falls.

I don't understand how it relates to curveballs though. Wouldn't batters have to be looking at something slightly to the right or left of the pitcher for that to work?
