Yes, let's not forget that merely half a century ago Germany had Europe on its knees - even with the US against that effort, I might add.

And they came so very close to winning, too.

On topic: If the war doesn't go nuclear, the US would pretty much shred the opposition into scrap metal and pink applesauce.

Considering that the Russian military has been in decline for about 20 years and US military is bigger than all of Europe's military forces combined, I doubt that it would be much of a fight. Hell, I doubt that the Russians would even make through Alaska before being bombed into oblivion.

Scenario 1: China has to bring all its assets to North America itself. Never makes it more than halfway across the ocean due to U.S. subs, destroyers and carriers working the convoys over like nobody's business.

Scenario 2: China somehow teleports all its assets to the North American coast. With even numbers at best, the U.S. forces have plenty of space to maneuver within and attrition wears down the Chinese forces. Desert Storm has already proven the Russian T-72 tank can't stand against the M1Ax Abrams, which is what the Chinese Type 90 tank is based upon. The US would lose, simply because half our population would be against the war, and would criticize our leaders/soldiers/etc. They would tell us, in the face of invasion, that we deserved to be invaded, and to let it happen. Anti-war protests would rise and militant groups would start fighting on the side of the EU. Hard to win a war when your population doesn't like you.

Last time this happened, it took the US, Britain and Russia over a year to bring down Germany alone, even when the US could operate out of the UK.

And now people are saying that the US along could mount an attack similar to DDay (but many many times larger) against Germany, France, Britain, Italy, Russia AND all the other european nations AND defeat them AND do this from across the Atlantic? Can you say insane?

A few changes have been made since 1945. the US wasn't the boss back then.

Do you know how hard it would be to invade the US.. more then 1/2 of us are armed as it is.. hell could you imagie them landing in NY and trying to occupy the bronx.

Perhaps. And it's always harder to invade than to be invaded...
but you can't win a war by simply not being invaded.
China has the most troops of anyone in the world (by a long shot because of population) and they are physically connected to all of asia, Europe, and africa. They could take over that part of the world without too much trouble and cut off the U.S. supplies. If you don't think that Chinese forces are ones to be reconed with think back to the Vietnam war and the Korean war (which was very hard for the U.S. to win)
How good are U.S. weapons of war after a decade of oil being cut off?

The US was much more of a boss in 1945 than it is today. And nowhere did I say the EU could launch an invasion of the US, the notion is about as ridiculous as the US lanching an invasion of the EU. I explicitly said "There is on way such a war could result in anything but a stalemate". In fact, such a stupid conflict cannot occur at all, but I'll give the OP a break.
