Um Greg Raymer is leading. Disgusting.

why? because he is one of the best big stack players around?
because he is a good player that most people underrates?

hopefully this will give his first win some legitimacy and remove the thought that it was all luck.

Seriously, the guy is good. I think that people like assume an unknown wins due to luck. However, you can't really beat a field of 5600 players, sprinkled with all the top pros based on luck alone. You have to have a healthy amount of skill in order to win.

Anyway, it is my understanding Raymer was a top notch player at Foxwoods before he won last year. He just had a day job as a patent attorney. It's not like he walked into the WSOP after reading Supersystem and sat down at a poker table for the first time.

Either way, I'd have to agree that the possibility of winning back to back WSOP titles and pocketing 12.5 million in the process is a disgustingly impressive accomplishment
