It seems that a combination of climate change and modern man is wiping out the mouse and rat population. The other day I saw a rat snake that looks like it has not eaten in months. There was also an owl on the ground that looks like it had starved to death.
To help preserve mice for future generations, there are some changes we need to make.
Drill small holes in your outside walls - this is to give the mice a place to live. Your not doing anything with the space between your walls, so lets open it up for small mouse communities.
Leave catfood / dogfood outside.
Ban the sale of all rat poison and traps. Most of the traps are inhumane anyway.
Start breeding mice - buy some small cages, breed mice and release them into the neighbors backyard. That way your neighbors will be introduced to how great mice are to have around.
