Ditch the silly trinkets, get a riding crop, and use outfitter to auto-switch. ;)

I have been slacking on levelling post-60 big time, almost everybody else in my guild has been 70 for several weeks now.
Links don't work... looks like the XML crap blizzard uses for its website does it in again.

Try http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dragonblight&n=Kaste

Notice the difference. The person above copied the wrong URL to redirect the stylesheets.

cool thanks, I've edited the original post with the correct links.

Too lazy to raise my Leatherworking from 335 to 350 and waaaay too cheap to actually pay for one :p. I use ItemRack, hence why I still have the gear on (look to the right and you'll see that I'm still mounted and will still be mounted once I log in).

Using a low level hand item as a riding enhancement - doesn't that hurt you when you have to dismount and fight quickly ? I mean you have no stats on that hand, but say you switch to one upon dismount with +20 stam... your hp is still going to be -20 stam and will take a while to build.

I had to deal with that issue when I dismounted and got my marshal's hands on again and a set bonus gave it +20 stam... took forever to regain that after dismounting.

He just doesn't realize the following:

If you collect the motes, which can be farmed in around an hour and a half solo, any leather worker probably has the leather and will do it for free just for the skill-up.

1% may not seem like a lot, but it's 2 less bag slots wasted. I carry 3-4 sets of gear and a bag and a half of pots., 2 bag slots is a lot to me.

In PvP, getting ambushed and being out a single trinket is NOTHING compared to getting ambushed with your enchanted pair of legs, gloves, and a trinket.

Hasn't ever bothered me. I don't usually have a problem with killing people though. I think the only time I ever lost with mount gear on is when I also had no poisons on and was too stupid to put them on when I had the chance (I'm still used to poison application bringing you out of stealth as that change is only what... 4 months old? I've been playing that character since release so I've had a lot more time with it the other way. I believe I was one of the earlier people (or pioneer, I really don't know if anyone used it before me, but I know I never heard of it or saw it before I figured it out) to use the Stealth->Poison->Shadowmeld->Poison->Stealth technique too).

Although, back when I did PVE, I would've got another pair of NS gloves to get a riding enchant on, but they let someone else get the gloves over me... just because he didn't have a pair! The thing is, he didn't really want them and only sharded them a day or two later. I would've used them! grrr PVE deserves a hulk smash for sucking so much.

Alright, now you're trying to get to personal insults demeaning my "WoW intelligence" saying I don't realize some joe schmoe will do it. Guess what.. why would I waste my materials to raise someone else's Leatherworking when I WILL NEED TO DO THAT MYSELF! I could care less if I use 3 items or 1 item, whoop-dee-doo!

I've defeated mobs/players in mount gear countless times, it doesn't matter to me! Losing 10% AP, 1% crit, 300 hp isn't a severe crutch to play on. I've killed same-level players NAKED.

Unfortunately, you can't see my bags, or you'd know that I have all Onyxia Hide Backpacks and my bank is also half full of them. I only carry about 3 slots worth of pots, I don't need any more or even any at all. I also only carry about 3 slots worth of bandages. They also rarely get used. Heroism ftw?

EDIT 2:

Also, maybe it'd be good for you to know that I haven't even been playing my rogue lately other than ganking evil people that kill my shaman, because I've been leveling said shaman.

I guess now's as good a time as any to ask about ride-speed enhancements. For the flying mounts (epic or not), the riding crop will enhance the speed... but carrot doesn't seem to... nor will spurs, whether you're in the air or not. True ?

What else besides the crop will do it ? And does the crop work for while you're on the ground with the flying mount ?

EDIT>>
Riding skill increases are capped at 10%. So, using this with the carrot, or with speed enchants, or anything else is not needed.

Blizzard has confirmed the 10% cap. They say that the reason for this item is to allow players to finally dump all the other speed increase items they had.
I guess I know what my next farming mission is.

Both the 9% trio and the 10% riding crop modify ground and air speed.

Aside from those items, the only other speed modifier is the Paladin 20% aura.

Eh, it's really not that hard though. I just quest and level to 60 in about 9 days played. Looking at the fact that Darro has over 120 days played at 60 (pre-BC), if I would've not been goofing off on him so much, I would have all of my characters at 60 (pre-BC) and possibly a couple 70's by now as it only took less than 2 weeks of playing after work to hit 70 (I averaged 7 hours per level).

Wow what's with the rogues and how do you repetitively get them all up so high ? I have a 70 Rogue and 70 Warlock... if you ask me to level a Druid in cat form, I'd say no... too repetitive.

I enjoy the rogue class, honestly. I played one in Friends and Family through to the end of Beta. It took me 9 days from TBC launch to get to 70 on one, and at that point for the other characters, I knew where to go and what quests to do to blow through 60-70. 3 of the chars were obviously already 60..the Draenai was the only that wasn't, and since 20+ forces you back to the old world, I already knew what to do there.

Leveling in WoW really isn't all that difficult...quest your ass off and it's pretty simple. My fastest time to 60 was just under 14 real days from character creation.

I created the dwarf because I'd always wanted to see how the racial affected PVP (vs escape artist), and I still prefer the gnome.

I do all this with working 60+ hours a week, and spending a fair bit of time with my wife and son. I've been playing MMOs for ~10 years, and ultimately, at the root, they're all the same. Once you know what to do, it's cake.

I have 3 70's in EQ2, 2 75's in EQ (no real accomplishment), and a 29 Rogue in Vanguard as well.
